Policies & Procedures
|
- All swim attire must be commercially bought swim
wear. No cutoffs, biking shorts, Bermuda shorts, etc. will be
allowed.
- Everyone must take a soap shower before entering the pool or spa.
- Any person suffering from an infection of the skin, eye, nose, mouth,
or ear cannot enter the pool or spa.
- Swimming aids allowed include goggles, kick boards, pull buoys, swim
fins, Coast Guard approved life jackets, and CACP approved float
belts. No air filled floatation devices are allowed in the
pool. (Water Wings are okay.)
- No shoes are allowed on the pool deck. All shoes must be removed
in the locker room prior to entering the pool area and be put on in the
locker room after leaving the pool deck.
- A shower must be taken after being on the patio before getting back in
the pool or spa.
- Children in PFD's, water wings, or on noodles must stay in standing
depth water or be with-in arms reach of their adult supervisor.
- No roughhousing or horseplay is allowed.
- The pool and spa may be used only when a lifeguard is present. If
lifeguard is not present at pool side, swimmers must wait in their
respective shower rooms.
- Unnecessary visiting with on-duty lifeguards is prohibited.
- Swimmers must recognize their own limitations and act in the best
interest of their own safety. Lifeguards may ask swimmers to
demonstrate their swimming ability.
- Glass and other breakable items are not allowed on the pool deck or in
the locker rooms. Water in plastic bottles is allowed.
- Food is not allowed on pool deck or in locker rooms.
- Please remove jewelry before entering pool or spa.
- The circle pattern will be used for swimming laps. Swimmers
should always stay on the right side of the lane. This helps
alleviate accidents and injuries and allows more swimmers to participate.
- If emergency situations occur, participants are to follow the
directions given by the lifeguard. Three quick whistle blasts
indicates that there is an emergency and a signal that all participants
should clear the pool and spa.
Spa Rules
- The spa temperature is between 100 & 103 degrees.
- Persons suffering from heart disease or high or low blood pressure
should not enter the spa.
- Children in 4th grade and under may use the spa only under direct adult
supervision. Parents should be advised that there are additional
risks and hazards of children related to the use of the spa. A
child's regulatory system is not fully developed, so (s)he may be unaware
of becoming overheated. Parents of children under the age of 5 are
strongly advised not to allow their children to use the spa for more than
five minutes.
- Pregnant women should have doctor approval before using the spa.
- Please observe a reasonable time limit of 15 minutes. Long
exposures may result in nausea, dizziness, or fainting.
- Users are not allowed to submerge in the spa.
- Sleeping and/or exercising are not permitted in the spa.
General Facility Use
- CACP is a smoke free environment. There is no smoking inside the
facility or on the premises. Please extinguish all cigarettes, etc.,
before arriving at the pool.
- CACP is also an alcohol free environment. Please do not bring
alcoholic beverages to the pool facility.
Conduct
- Users are expected to be courteous to other users and follow all pool
policies and procedures. Any misappropriate conduct will result in
the person being asked to leave the facility and a review of his/her pass
privileges will be made by management. Please help us keep this
facility a positive environment for families by not using vulgar, obscene,
abusive, derogatory or demeaning comments and/or gestures.
Insurance/Liability
- Users are participating at your own risk. Users are responsible
for their own health, dental, and vision insurance.
Locker Rooms
- The facility has three locker rooms. One male, one female and one
family changing/assisted locker room.
- Our rules do not permit mixed sexes in our locker rooms. However,
we have provided a family change room for adults (parents and
grandparents) with small children of the opposite sex. Users are
welcome to use it as it becomes available.
Towels
- Towel service is not provided. Users must bring their own towels.
Lockers
- Each locker room has two types of lockers, both of which are single use
lockers and available on a first come first serve basis.
- The first type is a keyed locker. Pass holders may sign out a key
at the reception desk.
- The second type is an open locker./ Users may bring their own
locks to put on these lockers while they are using the facility.
- It is strongly recommended that pool users not bring valuables in the
facility. CACP or its staff are not responsible for lost or stolen
items. All lockers will be checked at the end of the day. Any
items left in the lockers will be bagged and tagged. Any combination
locks on lockers will be cut off and contents will be bagged and
tagged. A replacement fee will be assessed for keys not turned back
in the same day.
Lost and Found
- Lost and Found can be claimed at the reception desk. Unclaimed
items will be donated to a local chairty after two weeks.
